Pu'u Kahea's campus grounds contains 8 sleeping quarters, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a baseball field, playgrounds, and a Plantation house where 5 rooms for sleeping are available along with dining areas.
Plantation Hale is 100 years old this year. (2010). This building is where the dining hall is located, 5 private rooms on 2nd floor, & The Upper Room Meeting area.
Peterson, an air conditioned building, has a nice living room, kitchen with cooking supplies (for an extra fee), dining area, bunk beds which sleep 26, four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a nice lanai perfect for morning Bible studies.
This is a four plex. Two rooms have queen beds and two rooms have two double beds each. Each room has it's own bathroom, small refrigerator, coffee pot, iron & ironing board. Quiet and restful.
K-Cottages are Ki (#1), Kukui (#2), & Kiawe (#3). These three bunk houses sleep 28 per building. Six bunk beds in each side with 4 beds for counselors in the center area. There are 2 showers and bathrooms in each end. All three buildings are air conditioned.
Mauka means "Mountain Side" in Hawaiian. This is a duplex, 2 private rooms with bathroom and 2 double beds in each side. Mauka #2 is not for rent as we house a volunteer couple in that unit.
Makai is not for rental. This building houses two volunteer couples each month. They are newly remodeled "efficiency" type apartments. Amenities include washer & dryer (also used to assist in laundry for facility), computer, b-b-q, and lanai. (Wifi present on PKCC grounds)
Without volunteers and work groups, the work at Pu'u Kahea could not continue. We praise the Lord for all of those who give so generously of their time and resources to "serve the Lord in Hawaii"!!!
