Clean-Up Guidelines

We appreciate your help in making Puu Kahea Conference Center enjoyable for all. We are able to offer our facilities at a reduced rate because we depend on you to help clean the buildings before you leave.

The following is a guideline to follow in cleaning the areas you used while you were here:

Plantation Hale (All meeting areas to be cleaned)
           • Sweep and mop floors (all meeting areas and lanais).
           • Bag all rubbish and deposit in the dumpster.
           • Put any furniture, if moved, back in the original place.

Dining Hall (Daily cleaning)
           •
Wipe tables after each use.
           • Sweep and mop floors after the last meal.

Grounds (All grassy areas to be cleaned)
          • Pick up litter and put in the dumpster.

Cabins/Rooms (All cabins/rooms used).
          • Sweep and mop floors.
          • Clean the bathrooms (including sink, toilet, showers).
          • Bag all rubbish and deposit in the dumpster.
          • Make sure all personal clothing, towels, etc. is packed.
          • Make sure all windows are tightly closed and air conditioners and lights turned
            off.

Kitchens (If used by your group)
           • Sweep and mop floors.
           • Removed food and clean refrigerator shelves.
           • Clean stove.
           • Clean all sinks and counter tops.
           • Put all utensils, dishes, etc. that were used back in original places (make sure
             you do not accidentally pack up camp utensils in your belongings-you will be
             charged for missing items after camp staff takes inventory).

If buildingsand grounds are not cleaned to manager's specifications, you will be assessed a cleaning fee (as described in the Rate Schedule).

Please be sure to report any broken or missing items immediately. You will be charged for any broken items incurred by you group.
