Since 1949, PKCC has been owned and operated by the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention (HPBC). PKCC is a “Cost Recovery Ministry” and operates on funds generated on site and donations, PKCC hosts groups and individuals in a retreat setting. PKCC when translated from Hawaiian, means “Hill of Calling”. Hearing God’s call can be heard at PKCC.
All of our rooms, and meeting areas except Plantation 1st floor and the tent, of course, are now air-conditioned.
As you enter the gate at PKCC, you get a sense of another place and time. Plantation Hale was once the private mansion of a sugar plantation owner. In its heyday, lavish parties were held in the dining room with views of the sweeping lanai and the mountain beyond. The three-story mansion boasted of a wrap-around lanai on the second floor and a polished ballroom on the third floor.
Facilities include 7 cottages with bunk bed lodging and 5 private rooms with baths. The second floor Plantation Hale features 5 private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. The first floor lanai can seat up to 125 for a meal in the screened lanai an additional 75 in the center area with 50 more on the front lanai. Meeting/conference rooms for 50, 75, 170 and 200+ are available. The beach is only about 3 or 4 blocks away. Additional new facilities are planned for the future.
“K” – cottages (3 separate buildings) and Barker Hall (3 separate rooms) are bunk bed style housing, which sleeps up to 84 and 42 persons respectively – all in air-conditioned comfort. Peterson House features a modern kitchen, living room, bunk bed lodging for 26, with 5 bathrooms and is air-conditioned.
Private rooms in Hikina (4), Mauka (1), Plantation (5) include air conditioning, microwave, small refrigerator, ironing board, iron and coffee pot.
Komohana has a small kitchen and is ideal for small groups or meetings for 50 people in air-conditioned comfort.
Our kitchen staff has a menu that will leave everyone satisfied from breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in between.
